WHEREAS the CCWAA has a proud tradition of audience engagement, including the historic "Dignified Enthusiasm Protocol" established in 1961;

WHEREAS feedback from recent events indicates strong member interest in enhanced participation opportunities beyond traditional spectatorship;

WHEREAS the upcoming championship at Druid Hills Golf Club—our founding venue—presents a unique opportunity to pilot expanded engagement programs;

BE IT RESOLVED that the following audience participation enhancements shall be implemented on a trial basis:

  1. Pre-Show Board Meeting Integration: Ticket holders may attend official board meetings (such as this one!) and cast votes on organizational matters

  2. Commemorative Blazer & Sash Program: Select audience members may wear official Druid Hills blazers and commemorative sashes, participating in pre-show "mingling" on the venue patio

  3. Wrestle-O-Rama Registration Cameos: Limited audience slots for "registration desk" participation, complete with character names and fictional club affiliations (examples: "Bobby 'Grand Slam' Jones from Augusta Putt-Putt and Water Park"; "Gertrude 'The Gentle Strangler' McAllister from Shady Pines Retirement Community")

  4. Official Cheering Protocol Cards: Distributed materials explaining proper dignified enthusiasm, including approved exclamations, appropriate moments for glass-raising, and the official CCWAA hand signals for judges

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all participating audience members shall receive a commemorative certificate suitable for framing and/or LinkedIn.

"See, THIS is what country club wrestling is all about. We're not just here to grapple—we're here to ENTERTAIN."

Will the commemorative certificate actually say something impressive? My wall of certificates is getting crowded and I need to be selective. If it just says 'Attended Event' I'm not interested. But if it says something like 'Official Participant in Historic CCWAA Championship Proceedings' with some Latin and maybe a gold seal, then I'm in.

I LOVE the character name concept! At my club, we've been doing something similar for years—everyone picks a wrestling persona for our annual charity grapple. I've been 'The Mergers & Acquisitions Assassin' since 2018. The registration desk participation would be SO fun. Can we suggest our own character names, or are they assigned? I've been workshopping 'Penelope The Portfolio Punisher' and I think it has legs.

I have serious concerns about this motion. The CCWAA has maintained clear boundaries between competitors and spectators since 1953. If we blur those lines, what's next? Audience members voting on match outcomes? Spectators entering the ring? This is a slippery slope toward chaos. Also, I've seen some audience members and frankly not all of them have the... bearing... for blazer-wearing. I vote no.

From a logistics standpoint, this is very achievable. The blazer fitting sessions would need to begin at least an hour before doors, and we'd need volunteer handlers to guide participating audience members through their patio mingling responsibilities. But the engagement potential is enormous. My only concern: what happens if someone DOESN'T want to return their commemorative sash? Do we have a sash recovery protocol?

THIS is what I'm talking about, baby! When I started in this business, audiences just SAT there. Watching. Quietly. Like they were at an OPERA or something. But wrestling isn't opera—it's THEATER! It's DRAMA! It's gentlemen in formal wear settling disputes with STYLE! Let's get the audience INVOLVED! Let them wear the blazers! Let them feel the ENERGY! This is going to be BEAUTIFUL! ✨
